SAINTS' director of communications has left the club after only two months in the job, it has been reported today.
Julius Duncan joined Southampton FC in January this year, in the role which was newly created at the time.
He joined from local PR firm Headstream but according to reports in a national newspaper today, he has resigned because he was "unsuited to the post".
In December, Saints revealed Mr Duncan was joining the club the following month.
At the time, a statement from chairman Nicola Cortese, said: "The appointment of a senior Director of Communications is an essential part of the ambitious plans we have for the club and reflects our commitment to excellent communication with all stakeholders.
"Julius brings a range of experience and skills that will help keep Southampton at the forefront of communications in the years ahead."
The Daily Echo tried to contact Mr Duncan for comment, but had not received a reply at the time of publication.
