TICKETS are selling fast for Bridgwater Amateur Operatic Society’s most expensive production yet.

The £20,000 show, My House, is a witty and brilliantly crafted romantic tale which promises to resonate with young people.

Like the original, Our House, which was first staged at the Cambridge Theatre in London in 2002, the spring production features the energetic and catchy songs of Madness, including ‘It must be love’ and ‘Our house.’

The story centres on Joe Casey, who breaks into a building site on his 16th birthday to impress his girlfriend.

When the police arrive his life splits in two, and so does he. There is the Good Joe, who stays to help, and the Bad Joe, who flees.

Tickets cost £10-£16 and performances will run from April 23-27 at Bridgwater Town Hall with curtain up at 7.30pm.

Tickets will be on sale at the Carnival Centre in High Street, Bridgwater, from 10am to 1pm this Saturday, or call the box office on 01278-662181.
