SECOND-HAND Book Sale: Don’t forget, Oakley Scout Group is holding a second-hand book sale this Saturday, from 10am to 12.30pm at Oakley Scout and Guide HQ, St John’s Piece.
Entry is free, and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
MAY Quiz Night: The next quiz night at Jolly Olly’s is on Friday, May 31. Teams of four or six can book their place by calling into the shop. All entry charge money is paid out to the winning team. This will be the last one until autumn.
MOBILE Library: There are two visits of the mobile library next week.
The first is on Monday, to Kennet Way, from 2pm to 4pm. The second is on Wednesday, to Petersfield, from 11.40am to 12.20pm.
COFFEE Mornings: A couple of regular coffee mornings are held each week in Oakley.
Everybody is welcome to go along, either on Tuesdays, from 10am to noon at the Methodist Church, or Wednesdays, from 10am to noon at East Oakley Village Hall.
There is a small charge of 50p at each event.
