A member of staff at a Hampshire hotel has been nominated for a senior award.

Tylney Hall senior events co-ordinator Louise Searle was a finalist in the nationwide mia-List 2013, which recognises people working in the meetings and events industry.

Louise beat contenders from around the country and was named as one of the 25 people shortlisted for the annual top ten list organised by MIA, the Meetings Industry Association.

She has worked at the country house hotel at Rotherwick, near Hook, for nine years, originally joining as an events co-ordinator and being promoted to her current role two years ago.

She was nominated for the listing by colleague Anna Hughes, the hotel’s marketing and PR co-ordinator.

Anna said: “She really deserved to reach the final shortlist. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she is always keen for the event which the client is booking to be the best it can be.

"Louise is attentive, efficient and supportive to all clients from the initial enquiry, when the event is being held and in the aftercare of the event. She often stays late and comes in early to ensure the best possible job is done.”

The mia-List was created to recognise the ‘unsung heroes’ of the meetings industry who work behind the scenes to create successful events.
