A VILLAGE in North Yorkshire is being evacuated after reports of a gas leak.
The leak was reported in the tiny community of Summerbridge, by the River Nidd near Harrogate, at about 11.30am today, May 16.
As a result of the incident the residents from the village are being evacuated and traffic is not being allowed through the village. Local diversions are in place.
Police are working with the fire and rescue service together with both Harrogate Borough Council and North Yorkshire County Council to deal with the situation.
