MEET The Lumberjacks, a triple-decker of Canadian stand-up comedians playing a trio of Yorkshire gigs this week. Stewart Francis, Glenn Wool and Craig Campbell kick off at Hull City Hall tonight at 7.30pm, followed by York Barbican at 8pm tomorrow and Leeds City Varieties at 7.30pm on Saturday.

Francis, who moved to Britain three years ago, is Canada’s champion of the one-liner; Wool and Campbell have toured extensively, each playing York on more than one occasion. Between them they have appeared on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, BBC2’s Mock The Week and BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Joining together as The Lumberjacks, they are mounting their first British tour after their Edinburgh Fringe debut last summer. They will perform individual sets, rather than together, offering the chance to observe their contrasting comedic styles.
