DO you believe in a thing called love? “OK, permission to land granted,” says York music promoter Tim Hornsby, who has booked Lowestoft glam rock revivalists The Darkness to play the Scarborough Spa Grand Hall on Monday.
Tickets are on sale at £23, available in person from the venue or at Fibbers in York and at scarboroughspa.co.uk
“Brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins, with Frankie Pouillain and Ed Graham, bust the rock world apart in 2003 with their award-winning hit I Believe In A Thing Called Love from quadruple platinum album Permission To Land, picking up three Brit Awards – for best group, rock act and album – in the process,” says Tim.
“And they’re back. New album Hot Cakes has been selling like, er… hot cakes, and the band remain one of the most exciting and incendiary rock acts of our times.”
Doors open at 7pm for the 8pm start; support acts will be Skarlett Riot and A Joker’s Rage.
