A PENSIONER from Southampton died in hospital from pneumonia after falling and breaking her ribs, an inquest heard.
Victoria May Charlton was 85 when she was taken to Southampton General Hospital after falling at her home in Sarnia Court, Boniface Crescent, on November 26 last year.
Consultant pathologist Dr Eleanor Jaynes told Southampton Coroner’s Court the former factory worker succumbed to pneumonia on December 3.
Coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
