FILM screenings will be held by a Bolton theatre to tie in with its production of Brassed Off.
Set against the backdrop of the miners’ strike of 1984 to 85, Faith was produced for the BBC and tells the gripping story of two sisters on different sides of the community.
Octagon artistic director David Thacker, who directed Faith, will introduce the film and will then lead an informal discussion after the screening on May 17.
On May 31, Mr Thacker will host a screening of the 1996 film Brassed Off, starring Pete Postlethwaite and Ewan McGregor.
The free screenings will take place at 10.30am at Bolton Central Library Lecture Theatre, call 01204 520661 to reserve a place. Brassed Off is on at the Octagon from May 15 to June 14.
