THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (HILLHOUSE LANE, HEADLEY)
ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on Hillhouse Lane, Headley be prohibited to allow BT safe access to overhead cables.
Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Hillhouse Lane, Headley, from outside The Elms to outside of The White Cottages, Headley, as indicated by traffic signs.
Alternative Route: Via Galley Lane, Common Road, Ashford Hill Road, Hillhouse Lane or by this route reversed.
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 27 May 2014 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for two days only commencing 27 May 2014 between the hours of 09:30am to 15:30pm.
