Manchester United are being linked with another leading Saints star, according to the Daily Mirror.

A few days after being linked with a move for Morgan Schneiderlin, United boss Louis Van Gaal is now reportedly interested in right back Nathaniel Clyne.

German World Cup winning defender Mats Hummels and Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman are also on van Gaal’s radar.

Saints signed Clyne for just £2m from Crystal Palace ahead of their Premier League return in the summer of 2012.

He made his full England international debut earlier this season.
