WINCHESTER Castle’s Stuart Findlay has become the third Hampshire Premier League top flight player to reach the 20-goal seasonal milestone mark.

He struck a hat-trick in a 4-1 win at Bush Hill to take his league tally to 19 – just two behind divisional top gun Jason Parrish of Baffins Milton Rovers.

Findlay – now level on league goals with another Baffins man, Blu Boam – opened the scoring swith a 22nd minute penalty before adding further goals in the 56th and 65th minutes.

Sam Strange also scored for Winchester, with Liam Keates replying.

Including league and cup goals, Parrish and Boam have both netted 25 times, with Findlay on 20.

It was Findlay’s second treble in three league matches, having previously notched a treble against Clanfield last month.

Rock bottom Locks Heath gave lofty Liphook a few scares prior to suffering a 19th loss in 24 league games.

Heath eventually went down 4-3, allowing Liphook to move into second place above Hamble Club – though the latter have five games in hand.

Steve Harding and Ryan Angear thrust Liphook into an early 2-0 lead, before Marc Holland reduced the arrears.

Ed Cardona prompty made it 3-1 before Holland scored again in the 59th minute.

Cardona grabbed his second, but Locks refused to give up, David Marshall setting up a tense finish seven minutes from time.

Otterbourne are up to fifth after a Tommy Wright treble fired them to a 3-1 home win over QK Southampton.

Kevin Betlam put QK into the lead, with Wright levelling four minutes before the break.

He then grabbed two more goals in the last 12 minutes.

Shane Cornish struck twice as leaders Baffins Milton defeated Colden Common 4-1.

Jake Cousens and Josh Dean also scored, with Harry Barrett replying.

Hamble Club moved into the quarter finals of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup with a 2-1 home win over AFC Petersfield.

James Kiddle put the visitors ahead, but Hamble hit back through Simon Quirk and Luke Watts.
