Emmanuel Mayuka had an eventful afternoon as Zambia suffered their first Africa Cup of Nations defeat since 2010 at the hands of Tunisia.
The Saints striker scored the opening goal of the game just before the hour mark and had a good chance to double his nation’s advantage on 68 minutes before getting injured.
In the time that Zambia were down to ten men before being able to replace Mayuka, Tunisia bagged an equaliser that proved a turning point in the game as they went on to win 2-1.
Zambia now need to beat Cape Verde in their final Group B match to have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.
