SOUTHAMPTON are reported to be preparing a bid for a French star playing in Serie A.
Cesena's attacking midfielder Gregoire Defrel has been linked in the Daily Mail with a move to St Mary's.
Everton and Swansea City are both said to be monitoring the Frenchman, who has scored five goals in Serie A so far this season.
A number of Italian clubs are also reportedly chasing his signature.
