THE three Saints players in the England under-20 squad all completed 90 minutes in today’s 2-1 friendly win against the USA in Plymouth.
A crowd of over 11,000 watched Harrison Reed, Jack Stephens – who started his career at Plymouth before signing for Saints in 2011 – and Jordan Turnbull play the full game in driving rain and high winds.
Hampshire-born John Swift, who is currently on loan to Swindon from Chelsea alongside Stephens and Turnbull, was among the England goalscorers.
Derby’s Kwame Thomas also netted, while Bournemouth’s one-time AFC Totton loanee Baily Cargill was an unused sub.
