The Daily Echo brings you a round-up of the Saints-related transfer rumours appearing in the rest of the media today...

Manchester United will offer striker Javier Hernandez to Saints in a bid to beat Chelsea to the signature of Nathaniel Clyne, according to ESPN.

Clyne will have just 12 months left on his St Mary's contract this summer, with talks over a new deal proving unfrutiful so far.

United are reportedly planning to move for the 24-year-old England international once the season ends, but Chelsea are also now said to be interested.

ESPN now say that sources have told them that the Reds will offer Hernandez, who is currently on loan at Real Madrid, in a bid to sweeten the deal for Clyne, who they say is valued at £20m by Saints.

Mexico international Hernandez, 26, has been linked with a move to St Mary's on a number of occasions since last summer.

There is also a report this morning that United have already agreed a deal to sign Clyne.

A national newspaper reporter has told MUTV that the transfer will definitely go through this summer.
