Arsene Wenger has refused to give any hints as to whether ex-Saint Theo Walcott will be given the chance to do his former club a massive favour in this weekend’s FA Cup final.

Walcott is one of three St Mary’s academy products hoping to figure against Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday, in what is a decisive match for Saints.

Should Arsenal life the FA Cup then Saints qualify for the Europa League. If Aston Villa triumph they do not.

There is speculation Walcott will start up front after his hat-trick in last season's Premier League-concluding 4-1 defeat of West Brom.

However, Wenger said: "I will not tell you anything today.

"I don't know who will start yet. Nobody knows at the moment. I just think it is important to focus as a whole squad on winning the trophy.

"Most of the time the heroes are the people who come on in an FA Cup final - they make the difference.

"Let's deal with it as a whole squad."
