NATHANIEL Clyne has issued a thanks to Saints and the club's supporters after completing his £12.5m move to Liverpool.

The right-back's switch to Anfield was confirmed earlier today, with the England international signing a five-year contract on Merseyside.

This afternoon, Clyne posted a message on social media thanking his former club.

"I'd like to thank everyone at Southampton FC," he wrote.

"I've had 3 unforgettable years at the club and I've loved every minute of it.

"You the fans have been great to me with your endless support over the years. I wish the best to the club for the future and everyone I've met on the way. It's been a pleasure. Thank you."
