Victor Wanyama will be fit to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Kenyan midfielder was forced off during the draw with Aston Villa due to an ankle injury.

Saints were optimistic he would quickly shake off the problem, and happily that has proved to be the case, with Wanyama able to train as normal for most of the week ahead of the match at Selhurst Park.

Koeman also confirmed he expects Jay Rodriguez back in training in three-to-four weeks following the attacker’s foot operation.

He said: “No more (injuries) than last week.

“Fraser (Forster) is back in some sessions last week, but needs still more time to be ready.

“(Florin) Gardos is still injured and Jay.

“Jay is recovering from the surgery, and will take more like three or four weeks that he will be full in training.

“The rest is ok.”
