SAINTS misfit Juanmi is set to depart St Mary's for Real Sociedad, according to various media outlets.
The Spaniard joined from Malaga last summer in a £5m deal, but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by.
The 22-year-old, who has been capped once by Spain, has been linked with a move away for much of this season after a frustrating time at Saints, which included just 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League.
A move looked like it might go ahead in January, but didn't come to fruition with Ronald Koeman still needing him as back-up.
But it now looks like he is set to finally seal a move back to his homeland, where he still commands a decent reputation.
Media outlets in Spain have reported a £2m deal with Sociedad has been agreed, which will see Saints make a £3m loss on the attacker.
