SAINTS are thought to be interested in Liverpool's Jordan Ibe, according to the Liverpool Echo.

They report that the Reds, who have infamously bought several players from Saints during the last few season, are bracing for bids for the 20-year-old winger.

Ibe's Anfield future remains in doubt following a difficult campaign with Jurgen Klopp's side.

And, according to the number of report, Saints are joined by Watford in their interest of the England Under-21 international.

The ex-Wycombe man made 43 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool last season, scoring four goals.

It was meant to be a breakthrough season for Ibe following Raheem Sterling's departure to Manchester City.

However, he has failed to impress and Klopp was forced to deny a rift with the youngster in April.

The German manager eventually called Ibe, who has mainly been used a substitute by Liverpool, a "brilliant" talent.

One of his four goals this term came at St Mary's in Liverpool's 6-1 Capital One Cup win back in December.

Ibe's strengths are known to be his dribbling and quick passing.

But his weaknesses include his crossing, which could be a huge issue at Saints, who are highly dangerous from crosses.
