SAINTS have signed teenage defender Kieran Freeman from Dundee United.
The 16-year-old Scottish youth international was reportedly a long term target for Manchester United and was frequently invited to the Old Trafford side to train with the Academy youngsters.
Saints have paid an initial five-figure fee to the Scottish club, with future performance-related add-ons.
Freeman said on Twitter: “Delighted to sign with Southampton today. Be good to get started.”
