Saints have confirmed that they will be taking part in the new Premier League 2 competition next season.

Premier League 2 replaces the Under-21 Premier League and is in effect an under-23s division, with three over-age outfield players plus an older goalkeeper allowed in each game.

Saints are in Division 1, made up of 12 teams who play each other home and away, with the bottom two clubs relegated.

Saints are also expected to take part in the EFL Trophy.
