SAINTS have been handed a tough away tie in the FA Cup third round.

The team must travel to Norwich City to face the team they beat 2-0 en route to the 2003 FA Cup final.

Southampton's recent record against Norwich has been mixed and on the last visit to Carrow Road they came back with a 1-0 defeat after Victor Wanyama was sent off.

The side's last 10 games against the East Anglians have yielded four wins, two defeats and four draws.

Meanwhile, holders Manchester United will host Championship Reading in the third round of the FA Cup.

Jose Mourinho's side face a meeting with the Royals and former Red Devils defender Jaap Stam, now in charge at the Madejski Stadium.

Manchester City will travel to West Ham's London Stadium while 2015 winners Arsenal head to Preston.

Tottenham host Aston Villa, Liverpool will face either Newport or Plymouth and Chelsea are at home to Notts County or Peterborough.
