HAPOEL Be’er Sheva will step out at St Mary’s later this week in a rich vein of goalscoring form.

Saints’ final Europa League group opponents romped to a 5-0 Israeli League win over Ashdod at the weekend.

That was Be’er Sheva’s eighth successive league victory - during which they have blasted 29 goals and conceded just two.

Since drawing 0-0 with Saints at home in the Europa League on September 29, Hapoel have won eight of their last ten games.

The only two they didn’t win were their two Europa League losses against Sparta Prague.

Maharan Radi netted twice in the thrashing of Ashdod, with Maor Buzaglo, Tony Nwakaeme and an own goal also on target.

Nigerian international Nwakaeme has now scored in his last four matches - including a penalty in the Europa League win against Inter Milan - and is Hapoel’s top league marksman with eight goals.

That is one more than one-time Chelsea striker Ben Sahar, who has struck seven times in only nine Israeli League starts.

Sahar, no doubt to leave him fresh for the game at Saints, came on as a second half sub at the weekend.
