CEDRIC Soares has urged Saints "just to keep working and believe" as they look to resolve their goal-scoring problems and mixed form.

Saints defeated Liverpool in the League Cup semi-final first leg last week, but have lost four in a row in the Premier League.

Claude Puel's side face Norwich in their FA Cup third round replay at St Mary's tonight, knowing that a victory will give them a boost ahead of a key run of games.

Saints welcome bottom-half rivals Leicester City on Saturday in the league, before the second leg of the League Cup at Anfield a week today.

Cedric believes it's just a matter of time before the goals start flowing and Saints record a vital Premier League win.

"We just need to keep working and believe in what we do and the goals are going to come," he said. "It’s not going to be like this forever.

"We created a lot and I think we were much better than the opponent today (in 1-0 defeat at Burnley).

"We deserve a win and we just need to believe in what we’re doing and keep doing it.

"And in time we are going to win for sure."

Cedric isn't prepared to wallow in their recent run of defeats.

"This is what I’ve been taught, when something goes wrong when you are clear of all the prinicipals of what you’re doing, you just need to keep going," he said.

"We know the Premier League and three or four wins we are back there [in the top half], so we just need to keep going," he added.

"Always we have the support of our fans. They were amazing again tonight (at Burnley) and we keep doing the job properly the goals are going to come and the three points as well."

The Portuguese international was keen to reassure fans that during a long season a blip like this is not unusual.

"It’s normal. We didn’t have a great performance before, today was not the same case," he said.

"But before there were two or three games we didn’t play so good. This is normal in football you also have these kind of moments."
