Daily Echo:

A FRUSTRATED Dusan Tadic has called for Saints to be more clinical in front of goal after drawing a record-breaking blank at St Mary's against Swansea.

The opening day goalless draw meant that Saints have gone a club-record six games without scoring a league goal in front of their own fans.

"We were knocking on the door, we gave our best," said Tadic, who missed a close range chance in the first half.

"We created lots of chances and we deserved to win it.

"It’s normal that you’re frustrated, but this is football. Sometimes you create lots of chances and you don’t score any goals. Sometimes you create two chances and you score two chances. It’s just like that.

"You just try to do your best and be dangerous and solid at the back. We now just need to turn to the next game and that’s it.

"We had enough chances to score a goal and if we scored it would have been a totally different game and then we would have scored a second," he continued. "But we didn’t do it and we need to try again.

"When we’re in front of goal we just need to be clinical and more aggressive to score a goal.

"Fabianski (Swansea's goalkeeper Lukasz) made some great saves and you need to give him credit for that."
