THERE could be a dramatic twist in the great Saints takeover story as fans prepare themselves for an emotionally draining week.
The Matt Le Tissier-backed Pinnacle group are now into their fifth week since administrator Mark Fry granted them a 21-day period of exclusivity.
An ongoing stalemate with the Football League over Saints’ right to appeal the 10-point deduction has apparently led to Pinnacle being unable to complete their protracted takeover.
Fry has said he is talking to a Swiss group and another being pieced together by Dorset businessman Marc Jackson.
But the Daily Echo understands a FOURTH consortium is waiting in the wings to potentially make a dramatic entrance to the race to buy Saints.
