Former Saint plays part in stunning European comeback

FORMER Saints defender Chris Baird played a key role in one of the greatest European football comebacks involving an English club tonight.

Baird, Saints’ Player of the Year in 2006/07, started for Fulham as they dramatically knocked Juventus out of the Europa League.

Roy Hodgson’s Cottagers trailed the Italian giants 3-1 from the first-leg.

But they staged a stunning second-leg comeback at Craven Cottage.

Fulham demolished Juventus, who ended the game with nine men after having two players sent off, 4-1 in the return game.

That earned the Premier League side a sensational 5-4 aggregate win and a place in the last eight of the competition.

at the start of the season CB couldn't get a start at Fulham, by the end of the season he'd have to be in the running for player of the year. He was great for us and it shows how good our youth set up is that given how well Bale's playing too.

Going with the Small STORY HERE.
so we have proved our abillity at producing good players as a matter of fact.
We are now in a position where everything comes to those that wait.
Are we looking to become a money making industry?
Feel sure that the premise is sound as far as the owners are concerned.
Put your spare tickets on E-Bay to make a few quid?
Does not fit the "MODEL"
We are a familly club whereby none should profit unless the ownership says:"Thats Okay"
We are "The uneducated masses "; do as you are told or mess at your "PERIL"
Pardew out if we dont make the "Playoffs?"
I so dont think so!
My drink induced point is this:
My life is pretty good dispite all the folks allong the way suggesting that I am stupid.
I love SOUTHAMPTON FOOTBALL CLUB....and always will despite who the CEO or manager might happen to be.
Please keep the faith this season and understand why it was the assistant manager who was required to say that the "PLAYOFFS" are still possible.
Like this post its all about sound bites!!!!!
COYRAWMACHINE!!!!
