"It's a crazy decision, and a crazy wrong decision as well."
Those are the words of Southampton Independent Supporters Association chairman Mike O'Callaghan in the wake of Alan Pardew's shock departure this morning.
"I don't understand it, just like I don't understand a lot of Nicola Cortese's decisions," he said.
"We had stability again, now it's been taken away.
"It beggars belief.
"I would say 90 per cent of the fans would not agree with Pardew's sacking and will be sad that he's gone."
"Pardew has been very harshly treated, he did a good job last season and won us a trophy.
"He's only had three games this season!
"Why not sack him last week, why wait until we've won 4-0 away.
"I wouldn't have agreed with sacking him if we'd lost 4-0 at Bristol Rovers.
"At least give him until the end of November."
