Pulis joins Stockport

Anthony Pulis has joined Stockport on a one month loan deal.

The midfielder, who has yet to figure in the Saints first team in just over two years with the club, goes straight into the County squad to face Gillingham on Saturday.

More proof that NA knows what he is doing is learning fast who is quality and who is not.

Good luck Anthony.

Good luck Anthony.
I think that a spell on loan will do him good and could be the making of a young player who has struggled with form.

I see that Andrew Davies (who went the other way when we signed AP) has gone on loan to Walsall. Sad that neither player has fulfilled their potential

Whats wrong with you people! He has been genuinely free loading his whole career, hes not a footballer FFS! Thats the long and the short of it. Good luck to bad rubbish. No doubt that will be his one and only game for Stockport.

Well, that will probably offset a part of Chaplow's salary. then.
Never understood why we took him in the first place nor why we've kept him for so long.
Sorry Anthony, but the higher we go the fewer chances you're going to have to make your debut for the Saints, so perhaps you should look around for pastures new.

I don't understand this, we are desperately short in the midfield department and we let our best assett go out on loan, whatever next Rickie on loan to Bristol Rovers? Where is my Wincarnis the stress of it all is getting to me.

there is something wrong with this player he has played for 7 clubs on loan making total apps of 26 times he has had 3 permanent clubs pompy stoke and us and made 2 apps in total for permanent clubs so in 7 years he has made 28 apps wich is shocking and clearly inst up to scratch although i don't no if his wiki is correct

Well done NA. A good move send ing him out on loan. This signing was one that never made sense to me. Although now I come to think about things, much of what the previous regime did didn't either (except the signing of Morgan).
My advice to Anthony is to grab this opportunity with both hands. He may now be in the shop window and consequently have his best chance of finding a way to play regular first team football in his career.
If I was in his position two years ago I would have bitten Saints hand off, so I won't condemn the lad for choosing to join our club when he did. He had the sense to take that opportunity, so I hope he has the sense to grab this one, for both his and the club's sake.

A very strange career. Perhaps because of his father he played at too high a level. However, how many of us would turn down a good wage for doing little. Must feel wierd though.

I think that Pulis must be quality, but just riddled with injuries.

I've never seen him play so don't know, but the only reason he would still be around is that he actually has some talent surely?

I reckon he's just chronically injured somehow (a bit like Michael Owen was a while ago, but he got over it).

Ali Dia contributed more to The Saints cause than Pulis has. I could have done his job for the last 3 years, in fact Stephen Hawkin could have had more playing time than Anthony Pulis.

I've seen him play for Lincoln when he was on loan there against Northampton last season. He was useless - no movement at all. It was an awful match as well.
