Someone mentioned the 'bi-polar syndrome' like attitudes of some
Saints fans recently. I couldn't agree more. I know all fans are fickle but we must have more than most. Man up! Show a bit a belief. If you go to games then get behind the players. Don't sit there grizzling and tutting. Show a bit of passion and pride in your club. It might help more than booing. MAN UP!
Mr Puppy im not a manic depressive and believe me i always get behind the players, sing, shout encouragement etc,but when we have been so desperately disappointing too many times in a season that was meant to be ours,a season which as a club we have seemingly pressed the self destruct button, this site seems the perfect place to vent my frustrations rather than getting on the players backs which i totally agree with you is a big no no and rather stoopid. It`s all to do with expectations and the club and players have not delivered."

Big freeze not all bad for Saints

Lee Barnard Lee Barnard

LEE Barnard’s fitness should be among the silver linings after Saints suffered the disappointment of a second successive away League One game being postponed due to the big freeze.

A pitch inspection yesterday morning revealed the pitch at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium was frozen and, with no realistic chance of it thawing, the game was given the axe early. It is now scheduled for March 1.

Saints’ game at Hartlepool earlier this month was postponed in the same way. But at least it gives key striker Barnard extra chance to get fit in time for Saints’ Boxing Day trip to Charlton. Full story in today's Daily Echo
