  • "I would imagine the majority of fans who post on here are like me ?.
I have spent over 40 years following this Football team and during that time I have spent literally thousands doing so.
I take up to three sometimes four of my lads with me, this season with promotion looming I am making the most of it because if we reach the promised land it will cost an absolute Mint to carry on doing it.
SFC has become a huge part of their lives and I am grateful for its existence.
The Forum is a great place for viewing debate and opinion, yesterday i was critical of things at the game, things come into your head like, what if we started the game with the players that finished it, would it be 8 and not 4 ?, some guys on here are slaughtered for saying things that do not conform and it is a shame.
Please, lets keep it real so everyone here and fans abroad can see, debate and give opinion without all the Crap."

Adkins delighted by quality of Saints' finishing

NIGEL Adkins hailed his ruthless Saints side after they thumped Derby 4-0 to move back to the top of the table.

Jos Hooiveld got the ball rolling at St Mary’s with an early goal, before second-half strikes from Aaron Martin, Adam Lallana and Tadanari Lee completed the rout.

Adkins was thrilled with the quality of the performance, as well as the finishing.

“It was a good 4-0 victory and some good goals,” said the Saints boss. “The supporters got behind the players, everyone’s together as one.

“I think we’ve demonstrated we can score goals again today, resilient defensively. Derby had a little spell just before half-time and just after half-time, we weathered that okay, and we’ve scored some exceptionally good goals.

“Adam Lallana’s from open play, he’s broke the play up in our defensive third and we’ve had an interchange of passes and what a fantastic goal that was.

“Then you talk about Tadanari Lee’s goal – what a strike that was.”
