Fan poster shows the spirit of Southampton
11:01am Monday 30th April 2012 in Saints News
Saints poster from the Daily Echo
THE Spirit of Southampton is captured in all its glory as people come to the city.
On Mountbatten Way with another on West Quay Road, the Daily Echo has erected two posters of Saints fans - and you might be on them.
The main image is made up of pictures of 1,000 other fans.
It was also featured in the paper on Saturday and now you can take a look up-close to see if you are in there too.
Simply go to dailyecho.co.uk/fantastic to open a version of the poster you can zoom into to look at, making it easy to find people you may know.
Once there, use the buttons to share it on Facebook and Twitter so other fans can find themselves too!
You can also take a look at our panoramic photo from Saturday, showing Saints fans as they take to the pitch at St. Mary's.

Just imagine Tadanari Lee scoring the winner at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season (after a SRL hat trick, of course). Japan = 110% Saints.

The Fight for Europe will need every Saints Fan to use every means possible to achieve the aim.
Take the case of ars*nil ....
I've always posted that wenger is a flawed genius ... take away the word genius and that is where he is now.
He doesn't manage ars*nil any more with regard to getting in new players ... the press does his job for him .. and when they fall down the league the press tell him who to buy and then £40 million later .... up the league they go.
ars*nil are expected to be up challenging and be in the Champions League.
BACK TO THE MIGHTY SOUTHAMPTON.
Premier League Survival year after year and bottom half of the Premiership is not good enough for this Club.
Top Half - Challenging for Europe and unlike everton having the funds to break through like newcastle is the place to be.
WE LOVE OUR PLAYERS - BUT WE NEED TO ADD TO OUR SQUAD AND WE NEED TO SPEND MONEY TO ACHIEVE OUR AMBITIONS.
Half measures are not good enough.

the expression - doesn't like it up him - applies to fergie and he is gonna f*cking get it at St Mary's.
Looked at a couple of posts on Saints Forum and a fan saying we are not competing with the likes of chelski etc ...
Don't be f*cking stupid - we are in the same league as them as we will be fighting to beat them.
WE ARE THE MIGHTY SOUTHAMPTON AND WE RULE THE SOUTH (UK)
f*ck chelsi and ars*nil - WE ARE NUMBER ONE.
Regarding the Saints Fans you have to applaud the Echo for showing all the fans photographs and making an effort for the fans ..
Very little is normally done for the everyday fans - the Manager and Players bask in glory and the lucky few go to an Awards Dinner.
I really like Nigel the Manager for what he has achieved at the Club - but I hope that the fact there is no Open Top Bus etc is not down to his ego because they did not WIN the Championship. I don't care that he is gutted about that - he lost the game vs Reading due to tactical naivety IMO - the game became too open and reading were allowed to score apart from the individual errors). Same at Middlesborough - too much open play cost them the game.
THE FANS HOWEVER TRAVELLED TO GAME AFTER GAME AND TOOK THE FIGHT TO EVERY SINGLE GAME.
There was nothing better this Season than millwall away outside the ground when all the Saints Fans gathered and they opened then doors to let us out with the chants before and the call of Red Army. Lucky for millwall they were hiding away in the pubs.
Being starry eyed about the Premiership is not enough. We expect results and WINS.
Every Single Poster on this site and all the other Forums deserves credit for the last 3 years of success ...
