SAINTS are sending their players on a major promotion party to Las Vegas as reward for reaching the Premier League.

The club have agreed to fund a trip for the squad to the “Entertainment Capital of the World” following their heroics this season.

Saints hit the jackpot on Saturday when they beat Coventry 4-0 at St Mary’s to book a place back in the top flight.

And the players’ cards have come up trumps too, with another fully-paid trip to the famous American city.

The squad were sent to Vegas last year after winning promotion from League One into the second tier.

And they were promised a repeat visit this summer if they could ensure a return to the elite of English football.

The trip will cap a series of memorable celebrations for the players following promotion at the weekend.

On Saturday night, after the incredible scenes of jubilation at St Mary’s, they partied with the rest of the club’s staff at a specially- organised event at the Four Seasons Hotel at Fleet.

Then, on Sunday, members of the squad toasted their success at an impromptu gathering with supporters at a city bar.

Last year, Saints chairman Nicola Cortese sanctioned the initial Vegas trip during the raucous celebrations on the team coach following the victory at Plymouth that had effectively sealed a place in the Championship.

In the final weeks of the current campaign, he agreed to give the green light to a return visit, on condition the players finished off stunning back-to-back promotions.

The squad held up their end of the bargain, and they will be hoping their good run of fortune continues as they prepare to hit some of the most famous casinos in the world. Las Vegas is proving an increasingly popular destination for promotion-winning teams, with Norwich last season also sending their players to the city after they reached the top flight.
