Just had a thought, this won't happen as it's now in the press.
We all know NC's liking for keeping the wheelings and dealings quite until completed.
Can't help getting excited but until it's on the offical site that JR has signed then as an earlier poster said's just speculation!
Still speculation like this keeps fans coming back to the Echo website, which in turn brings them in an income through the advertisments here.
Except Billy Sharp, Tadanari Lee, Jack Cork, Danny Fox and Jos Hooiveld were all reported in the Echo before they joined Saints.

NC ain't that good at keeping things quiet!"

Saints have reportedly offered in excess of £6m for Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez.

Nigel Adkins failed in his pursuit to sign the highly-rated forward during last summer's transfer window, but it appears the club have now gone back in for the 22-year-old as they look to strengthen the squad for their Premier League return.

The Clarets are ideally hoping to receive £8m for the player, who has one year left to run on his contract, but were said to be mulling over the offer from Saints, according to reports from Lancashire.

However, this afternoon Burnley's head of media, Darren Bentley, claimed the club had received no bids for the young striker, who is also said to be attracting the attention of Sam Allardyce at West Ham.
