FORGOTTEN Saint Ryan Dickson is “absolutely miffed” after missing out on a move to Crawley Town.

The newly-promoted League One side had been hoping to bring the out-of-favour left back to Broadfield Stadium this summer.

However, that would have likely meant a substantial pay cut for the 25-year-old.

In order to facilitate the move, Dickson, right of picture, had hoped to come to a settlement on the remainder of his St Mary’s contract, which has a year left to run.

But he could not reach an agreement with Saints.

Dickson, who is understood to have received wage increases as a result of the club’s promotions to the Championship and then the Premier League, now appears to be preparing to ride out the remaining year of his deal.

The defender has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his frustration at not getting a move.

He tweeted: “A business decision? Absolutely miffed! Looks like I’m stuck still watching premiership football for the season could be worse! Crazy”.

In response to a message from his former Brentford teammate, goalkeeper Ben Hamer, Dickson then added: “cant beat playing though mate frustrated ant the word! Just can't understand not wanted so let me play else where!”
