Guly do Prado has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at Saints until 2014.

The Brazilian was entering the last year of his contract but Saints have moved to ensure the 30-year-old remains at St Mary’s for at least another two years.

Do Prado has earned mixed reviews from fans since joining from Cesena following a loan spell that started two years ago, with some loving the South American’s style and others not so keen.

He has been utilised both as a striker and a right sided midfielder and has scored 22 goals in 85 appearances for Saints thus far.
