Early days, we did need these points out of the first four games just got to stay positive saints fans we are after all Premier league. Pompey lost today hahahaha

We didn't play badly. We created chances again, just needed to be a bit ruthless in front of goal and a bit more luck was needed and we could have scored.

At the back, a couple of defensive frailties and a foul on Jose and we end up on a 0-2 reversal.

I know people will say it was only Wigan, and against better teams we'll struggle, but this is their 8th season in the Prem and are no mugs.

It's going to be a long hard season, but I'm confident we'll get the right players in over the next few days (and no panic buys) and we'll be OK.

My prediction is finish 15th.

And look on the bright side, the Skunts got stuffed!

What a shambolic performance in the second half, Fonte out of his depth, Rodriguez didn't look worth 7mill, is Tandanari Lee still injured?

I don't see how anyone can justify a performance like that at home against one of the poorest teams in the league. The defence was all over the place and we couldn't even put a pass together. Clyne and S.Davis did well i think. Lallana played well too but the rest of the team were terrible.

Am gutted they were important points due to our tough start! Yes we started ok and had chances but we can't rely on luck we need to defend a lot better than that, wigan will struggle this season as we will with that team ! Once again we looked weak spider and guly don't have it at this level IMO and nor does fonte or fox if it wasn't already clear to NA then it is now we need to strengthen or we are in for a long season ! but on brighter note poopey got stuffed haha

Lee played midweek in a friendly so should be available soon to replace guly he was shocking yet again with several others sadly especially second half :(

Not good enough. We played well for the first 10 minutes, then it all went down hill. The second goal was a prime example of the difference between premiership and championship. There's a long way to go, and we can survive if we learn from our mistakes. COYS.

Bobby died at 44 he only got a block of flats named after him when the Dell was knocked down , i believe you have a bobby stokes hospality suite at the st Marys or conferance room what ever their also is no statue ! your greatest achievement. I must admit I'm laughing myself :-D the only thing he can throw back Is Bobby Stokes, if he was such a loyal Portsmouth lad why did he come to Saints and win us the cup? :-) Also an event from 36 years ago dragged up, not the present as we were talking about :-) We have a statue for one of the greatest saints and that's Ted Bates!

Bobby stokes was a footballer he was not filled with hatred like some of you after contributing winning the cup for you in 1976 he came to us later .

To be honest, its a hard thing being a loyal supporter, you are at the mercy of what ever money grabbing business person buys your club. We have been there and you have as well, the FA must have to hold their hands up after their "fit and proper persons test failed you AGAIN" As far as Saints spending millions on some big time Charlie goes, i would rather see them not spend 70k per week on wages as in the event of relegation this lands you with the problem your club have had, not only that with half of the big money signings all you are buying is a sulky ego that thinks it is bigger than the club. Look at the problems Man City had with Tevez!!! What an idiot! Saints have a quality youth squad and hopefully with the players we have now and some of the youth we have combined we should be ok, if not they will have to spend in January

The administrators worry me, when saints were in administration the administrator chose a penniless **** taker Mickey Fiaka who had no funds over the world famous billionaire Marcus Liebeherr...... You only had to google the names to realise something wasnt right with Fiaka. All joking and banter aside do you think your fans will have the funds to keep Pompey afloat? It would really worry me if i were in your shoes
