Nathaniel Clyne has been named in the England under-21 squad to play vital games against Azerbaijan and Norway.

Stuart Pearce's side need two wins from the two matches to secure a play-off berth for the 2013 European under-21 championships.

The games take place against Azerbaijan on Thursday, September 6, and Norway on Monday, September 10.

England squad:

Goalkeepers: Ben Amos (Hull City – on loan from Manchester United), Declan Rudd (Norwich City), Jason Steele (Middlesbrough)

Defenders: Ryan Bennett (Norwich City), Steven Caulker (Tottenham Hotspur), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton ), Craig Dawson (West Bromwich Albion), Martin Kelly (Liverpool), Ben Marshall (Leicester City), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), Adam Smith (Tottenham Hotspur)

Midfielders: Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Thomas Ince (Blackpool), Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest). Jason Lowe (Blackburn Rovers), Josh McEachran (Middlesbrough – on loan from Chelsea), Jack Rodwell (Manchester City), Jonjo Shelvey (Liverpool), Wilfred Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Forwards: Nathan Delfouneso (Aston Villa), Marvin Sordell (Bolton Wanderers), Connor Wickham (Sunderland), Martyn Waghorn (Leicester City)

I think we were dead lucky to get Clyne. Very highly rated already and will be one of the first on the team sheet this year.

Would be worth bidding £5m for Ben Marshall . . . Utd and Liverpool both want him and he looks like a wicked player ... Bid Big and grab him now, future international and would only increase in value!
