Saints striker Jay Rodriguez has been shortlisted for the Championship Player of the Year honour at the 2012 Northwest Football Awards.
The 23-year-old, who scored 21 goals for Burnley last term before completing a £7m move to St Mary’s in the summer, is up against Blackpool’s Alex Baptiste in the voting.
The awards, which were established five years ago, cover the 23 professional clubs in the north west region.
Rodriguez won the Championship accolade last year as well.
Fans can vote by visiting northwestfootballawards.com/voting before 5pm on Monday, October 29.
