THE Munich air disaster will always be one of those Where were you?' moments.

I was going to watch a film near the old Echo office at the Odeon Cinema on the night of February 6, 1958 when the manager, a Mr Wilmott, came out to tell me what had happened.

It was a shock as I played against Kenny Morgans, one of Manchester United's survivors, for Saints' youth team the season before.

I'm glad the 50th anniversary of the night those eight Manchester United players died is being remembered when the Manchester derby is played at Old Trafford on February 10.

But I happen to agree with City and their concerns about having a minute's silence.

It only needs half-a-dozen morons to ruin a minute's silence so the best tribute would be a minute's applause.
