Redbridge Hold on for a Point
4:06pm Friday 26th September 2008 in Sport
Baddesley as like the first game this season were out the trap early and the Redbridge goalie had to be on top form pushing 2 good shots around his post hope this was not a sign of things to come.
Wave after wave of Baddesley coming forward but there was no way past the Redbridge No1.
Then it was Redbridge to attack down the right a quick throw caught the Baddeasley defence napping and the Redbridge forward stabbed it home 1-0 to the away team and that's how it stayed until half time.
The second half started just as the first with Baddesley on the front foot but there was no way past this Keeper and it was going to take something special, and Special it was Baddeslay was awarded a free Kick 25 yards out and George Nicholson-Jack with his sweet left foot put it into the top right hand corner, 1-1.
Wave after wave of Baddeslay attacks were broken down or just poor finishing, until with 5 mins to go they broke down the right and whipped in a cross for the forward to slam home only to be waved offside very late.
When its just not your day its not your day possibly a point dropped by Baddeslay but one earned by Redbridge.
