Bitterne Bring Baddesley down to Earth with 2 quick bumps
7:49am Tuesday 18th November 2008 in Sport
With all the wet weather the pitch looked good this morning and Bitterne were quick out the blocks with 2 very early goals.
In the first minute it looked like the Baddesley defence were still in bed when the Bitterne forward ran onto a long pass to slot the ball home.
It was 2-0 after 3 minutes, a poor tackle saw the resulting free kick put away.
Baddesley were shell shocked but they soon got their quick passing going and carved out a few chances, the best being a great header from George that hit the bar and probably deserved a goal.
With 20 minutes gone it was 2-1, a corner was swung in and Ryan was there to scrabble the ball home.
It looked like Baddesley were back in the game until 2 minutes before the break when another mix up in there back line saw the Biterne player slot the ball home to make it 3-1 at half time.
The second half saw Baddesley come out fighting and some good work down there right saw Mat ghost into the box and pull his cross back for Joseph to slot home and make it 3-2, was this the start of a Baddesley come back?
Wave after wave of Baddesley attacking play came after the goal but again some poor finishing by them and and 2 quality saves from the Bitterne goalkeeper kept the score 3-2.
