BADDESLEY PARK LEAVE IT LATE TO SEAL POINTS

Baddesley Park B entertained Alresford Town on a wet & blustery October morning at Hunts Farm.

Both teams were looking to improve on their respective starts to the league campaign.

Alresford started the game quickest & Rosenthal in the Baddesley goal was quickly called into action. Baddesley had attacks of their own and Munday, Fouch & O'Sullivan found the Alresford 'keeper in excellent form.

The game was end to end with both 'keepers having very busy mornings. Alresford were rewarded with a goal after a mix-up in the Baddesley defence which saw the ball put away by an Alresford player and put them ahead leading into the half time.

The second half started how the first ended with Alresford doubling their lead after some sloppy Baddesley defending was punished with a crisp finish from 12 yards.

Baddesley started to settle and started to attack Alresford with everything they had but hadn't reckoned with a very resolute Alresford team defending their two goal lead.

The breakthrough came with 15 mins to go when Fouch rose highest to power home a header from a Cornwell free-kick and minutes later, Baddesley equalized when Moody coolly stroked the ball home after some good work from Bull.

Baddesley sensed they might get a winner and pushed forward. Brown found Munday and his work was rewarded with a goal to put Baddesley in thedriving seat.

The final score ended with Baddesley the winning team with a 3-2 scoreline but Baddesley's manager openly admitted that they did not deserve the victory.
