BADDESLEY SUFFERED DEFEAT

Baddesley Park B played host to City Central at Hunts Farm on a wet Sunday morning.

Baddesley were looking to make it their first back to back wins of the season against an unknown opposition.

Baddesley started the game strongly and began to attack the City Central goal with O'Sullivan, Moody & Cornwell all coming close to scoring.

With barely two minutes on the clock Bull was tripped in the box & Brown coolly put away the resulting penalty, to make it four out of four for the season.

Baddesley continued to press forward and scored a second goal thanks to a sublime Donworth finish from the edge of the box. After an injury to the ever reliable Coulson the team was shuffled around and City Central sniffed a chance to get back into the game.

With the Baddesley team seemingly not remembering how to play football City Central scored three goals with no reply.

The second half started with Baddesley hanging on to the game in the opening 15 minutess with City Central adding to their tally to make the score 2-4.

This could have been alot more had it not been for the bar or Cornwell clearing the ball off the line at least 3 times.

Baddesley began to compose themselves and get back into the game. In the final 15 minutes Baddesley began to play as they did in the opening 20 minutes and were camped in the City Central half. Shots from Munday, O'Sullivan, Moody, Donworth, Bull & Hannam all found the woodwork or the 'keeper in the way.

Munday finally scored to make the final few minutes a frantic affair but City Central hung on to win the game 4-3.
