Kim Kardashian's love 'epiphany'

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she is attracted to Kanye West because he is older than her.

The 31-year-old reality TV star opened up about her romance with the US rapper, 35, with Oprah Winfrey in a two-part special for OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), reported E! News.

"I feel like I've had an epiphany. Before, all my boyfriends were younger. I always dated five years younger. My whole thing was completely different," she told the US talk show host.

Kim added: "I love that I'm with someone who's a couple years older than me. I love that my friends are sometimes even 20, 30 years older than me. That I can just enjoy their company and their experiences."

She also denied that her short-lived marriage with 27-year-old basketball player Kris Humphries, which lasted for 72 days, was a publicity stunt, according to the Daily Mail.

"I was in love, I wanted the life that I always pictured my fairytale life to be. Once we moved in, I knew he was not the one. I loved him, obviously it hurt him, and it hurt me too. It was embarrassing, I don't want to call it a mistake, it was a lesson," she admitted.

"He's a good person. I will always have a place in my heart for him. It just wasn't for me."

The break-up left Kim in a fragile state: "I was in such a deep depression I thought I was going to back away from everything. I stayed at home for almost four months and I'm a better person now, as heartbreaking as it was to go through."
