SHAMELESSLY self-styled party king Paul Sperring was last night revelling in his notoriety from his paradise hideaway.
Holed up in Miami, he has now posted a stream of comments on his open Facebook page after the “party to end all parties” landed him in court over noise complaints .
The Daily Echo has revealed how perma-tanned Sperring held the do at a £1m penthouse apartment in Southampton – much to the dismay of long-suffering neighbours.
With a booming “bass beat” pulsating from Sperring’s luxury five-bed pad becoming unbearable, fed-up residents phoned the city council’s noise police.
The fun-loving 35-year-old pleaded guilty to causing a statutory nuisance at the apartment he was renting in South Western House, in breach of an earlier noise order and apologised for not controlling his party.
On Facebook he wrote: “Just got a text from someone on the beach in the Algarve... she caught a glimpse of me in someone’s newspaper.... her comment was ‘well done Paul, you’ve gone global’.
“I know I honestly would have paid money for this. I guess when you’re news, you’re news. Read it and weep haters.
“It doesn’t get more important than this. This is on CNN right now.
“It is clearly not necessary for a statement from Camp Sperring, the media is doing my work while I’m on vacation.
“It’s nice that I’m news and the topic of conversation while on the other side of the world.”
Draped in women, quaffing cocktails and champagne and pulling his trademark pose of pointing his fingers like a gun, he cultivates an image as Southampton’s party king.
On his website he claims to have attended a “school for higher beings” in the US and is apparently seeking “world domination”. He also refers to himself as “kingofeverything” on this website.
Not shy of showing off his lavish lifestyle, he also posts videos on Youtube such as one where he takes viewers on a tour of his Royal Suite aboard the cruise ship Oasis of the Seas.
Sperring, who runs a tanning salon in Queensway and gives his home address as Oceana Boulevard, is the grandson of the late Hampshire businessman Tom Sperring, who founded a successful chain of convenience stores across the south.
The business blossomed from a single newsagent to an 80-store giant which was sold in the late ’80s for £20m to US retail giant Circle K.
The buyout would be worth about £46m at today’s prices.
