    Nick and his Penny Farthing

    IT'S an unusual skill - particularly for a five-year-old.

Young Nick Pain from Fordingbridge in the New Forest has mastered the art of riding a penny-farthing bicycle.

His antique hunter dad, also called Nick, found the Roy Cooper classic toy version of the bike at a car boot sale in Ashley Heath, near Ringwood.

Roy Cooper toy penny-farthings were made in London between the 1950s and 1970s as a smaller version of the full size bike created in the 1870s.

Young Nick, a pupil at Fordingbridge Infants school, hopped straight on the vintage bicycle and has not been off it since according to mum Georgie.
