THE Daily Echo needs help in solving Hampshire's latest UFO mystery.

Just a day after it was revealed 42 UFOs have been spotted in the county in the past ten years, a new video has emerged of a strange object in our skies.

The footage was captured by company director Will Campbell on Monday, May 5, and shows a cubeshaped object floating high above houses in Shirley.

"I was at home when my housemates Mina and Simon spotted the object out the window.

We could barely see it with the naked eye, so I got my video camera out to zoom in to get a clearer picture of the object," the 28- year-old said.

"It appeared to be a black, almost cube shaped. At first it was slowly rising, but then seemed to stabilise at an altitude and move away into the distance. We could see it for about 15 minutes, before it eventually got too far away."

Mr Campbell was confident the object wasn't a kite as there was "absolutely" no wind that day.

"Its large arc across the sky also means that it was not tethered to the ground in the way an advertising blimp would be.

The shape of the object wasn't round like a weather balloon.

"I rather hope that one of the readers of the Daily Echo might be able to shed some light on what the object was."

Mr Campbell said he believed extra-terrestrial life was out there, but that he was very sceptical of most UFO claims.

"I don't believe that there is a great deal of UFO activity and I think that the vast majority of sightings can be explained. There are however a few sightings which are very difficult to explain."

I was playing football at Goals in Milbrook and we all saw this too. Its obviously not aliens but would be interested to know what the hell it was? The reason why it was odd is because it was stationary for so long just hovering. It did look like a kite but it was too high for that and seemed to have a white light on it. It looked more triangular from where I was but also 3d.

But it hasn't been actually identified. Therefore it is a UFO.

UFO doesn't mean alien - you do know that, don't you?

I saw it too, it blatantly wasn't a Chinese lantern as it was too big. God knows what it was, maybe a weird-shaped balloon or kite or something.

Isnt the point of Chinese lanterns to be let off at night so you can see them light up the sky? Seriously though I saw it too and it was a lot larger than a lantern and looked more like a blimp.

yesterday someone pinched my bicycle, maybe it was aliens...
then again maybe it was just the idiots living down the road.
and i think they are 'unidentified'. i dont think there is a word that quite describes them.

Perhaps a consortium of billionaire Aliens are in town to make a takeover bid for Saints ?

I have identified it as a box kite, so the UFO is now a FO!

It might be a chinese lantern, they have coloured versions which are let of during the day. Some coloured lantern videos can be seen at www.skylanterns.net

I have seen this too. a few times over the past three to four months.. I have seen something in the sky very similar. once in the evening, I tracked it to Rownhams then lost it in the atmosphere, once in millbrook on the main road I saw one again heading across marchwood military base area. Its wierd.. maybe some sort of British Military experiment but whoknows what it is.. its self propelled I think.. it moves on its own anyway.. any ideas let me know.

i saw this object in the sky too. i got out the binoculars and it was more of a pyramid shape from my angle. and it had some kind of light at the bottom, which looked more like a flame. i couldn't see any kind of basket at the bottom so ruled out an hot air balloon. but who knows!!!!

Some time ago the Echo reported a large metal washer falling from the sky. Could it be another twin tub hovering, looking for somewhere to land ?

coming back from town going over the flyover a couple of weeks ago we saw this and it is unexplainable. i dont think its a kite as it was stationary there was no line or anything and as for a chinese lantern arent they bright colours?

I know who is responsible for this and he is a nutter who has too much time on his hands and he needs to go back to work selling gas to aliens on Neptune.

I am the owner of Aliensthetruth.com. Many people have reported objects like this in the past. I have a photograph taken near Area 51, a secret military installation, in Nevada which shows a similar object.

I dont know if your having visions or what, but over the past few years my appetite for seeking the knowledge of the word of god has been growing stronger and stronger everyday. The more I seek the more I understand that tribulation is coming. I dont know when anything gonna happen but I have very strong feelings that it is so very near just by watching and reading about whats going on in the world today. God is telling me or warning me about it. I believe highly!
